Mentha piperita 'Peppermint'

  • Peppermint is an herb in the One Earth Edibles line.
  • Peppermint grows best in fertile, moist oil, full sun.
  • Most mints are very invasive, so plant Pepperming in a bottomless container with several inches of the container above the soil to discourage runners.
  • Keep mints separate from each other to discourage cross-pollination hybridization.

Vigorous, easy-to-grow peppermint has no rivals in the kitchen for sweets and drinks. Can be used fresh or dried. The taste is slightly hot and stimulating at first, then relaxes while keeping the mind awake in the present moment. Peppermint calms the musculature in the digestive tract making it a prime natural remedy for nausea and indigestion.
